Michigan makes many government records available, but the correct source depends on the question. The Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office creates and keeps county jail records. MiCOURT shows eligible public court cases and later dispositions. The Michigan Department of Corrections publishes OTIS records for people in state custody or under state supervision. When no public roster or booking-photo view exists, a focused Freedom of Information Act request may be the proper route.
